A rotten cold has kept me homebound... but on the bright side, I've been spending lots of time in my craft room! I was finishing off a project I had started in July. It's made with new products that I received at convention, most importantly - flip flaps. What a great way to incorporate MORE photos into my layouts! I'm really pleased with the number of photos I've gotten into this 2 page layout... 26 to be exact!! I'll post it soon.
In the past, my albums were filled mostly with 4 x 6 prints. After finishing this layout, the lightbulb went on... many photos look great in a smaller or larger format. My methods are about to change!
Another limiting belief I've held for years: you must scrapbook ALL of your photos... When I started this hobby, I asked my mentor: "What do you do with the photos you don't scrapbook?" She looked at me with this blank look on her face and said, "Well, I scrapbook everything!" So, for years, I tried to scrapbook everything too, only to fall seriously behind and have this sense of urgency hanging over my head, thinking I HAD to get caught up! Well, I read a lot of scrapbooking magazines and blogs and something in someone's article made ANOTHER light bulb go on... scrapbooking is supposed to be fun, not a chore!
From now on, I endeavour to scrapbook photos of varying sizes, and create only layouts I love! A fellow consultant,
